Patterns with a Mission
In 2018 I taught myself to quilt and just fell in love, and by 2019 I had begun dabbling with writing my first pattern. I was just doodling really and wondering if I could, or if I should. Then, during a Christian ladies retreat, we were all challenged to find a way to use our talents for God’s kingdom. I sat there staring at my hands thinking, I’m crafty. What in the world am I supposed to do with that? And in His still small voice (if you don’t know that story, break out your Bible and read 1 Kings 19, it’s GREAT!) he says to me, “devotionals”. And I think of the patterns I’ve been longing to write. At the time, I had no idea even how to write a pattern, by what means and who would help or test or edit. But of course, He had all of that worked out.
And here we are, more than twenty patterns in and more new friends than I could possibly count. It turns out, I was the one who would be blessed. It would be me, who would learn and grow and who’s life would be changed. That has been the gift I have received from you, sweet quilty friends. Meeting you at quilt shows and when I’ve been invited to your guilds and retreats has been the honor of a lifetime. Hearing your stories and connecting with you over our shared faith, journeys, and yes even sometimes struggles and heartbreak has humbled me and taught me more than you know.
This is not my nine to five, but it is the joy of my heart and the calling of my Lord.
Thank you for stopping by. I sure hope today is not the last time we “meet”.

Corrections
Each of our patterns are tested multiple times, and are also reviewed by my technical editor. Alas, we are humans and do make mistakes. I request your grace and understanding when that happens. Please check below for any updates to patterns that you have purchased. And if you find an error that we missed, I do welcome you to reach and let me know. I wouldn’t want another quilter to have the same issue. Thanks so much!
